Jenny Oaks Baker George S. and Dolores Dore Eccles Theater Concert reviews
A Night with U2
This was my favorite song. They always give it their all. For Pride, they showed the scenes of the horrible Charlottesville white Nationalist rally and subsequent tragedy and immediately followed it with the peaceful civil rights movement with MLK. They used video scenes throughout the show corresponding to the songs they were performing. Our seats were behind the stage, but we had a great view as Jenny Oaks Baker uses an open stage set. The show was politically charged from start to finish ranging from the bombings and rights in Northern Ireland to the problems we face as Americans. Did some, but not all of their big hits including, Elevation, It's Beautiful Day, I Will Follow, Sunday Bloody Sunday and Pride In the Name of Love. We have seen them a few times. In the end, as Bono had said, all these problems can end as it did in their native Ireland, with finding common ground.
